On July 24th, 2024, Meximodo was honored to be presented with a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the largest selection of agave spirits! We shattered the record with 1,033 different bottles of tequila, mezcal and other agave.

What are the hours at Meximodo Metuchen?
Lunch is served Monday to Friday, 11:30am to 4pm, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Dinner runs Sunday to Thursday, 4pm to 10pm, and Friday and Saturday, 4pm to 11pm. Hours can change on major holidays, so check live availability when you book.
Do I need a reservation?
Friday and Saturday dinner is our busiest time, so booking ahead is a good idea. You can reserve a table online for up to 13 guests. The bar seats up to 24 and is first come, first served. If the booking system won't take your party size, email hola@meximodo.com with your date, time and party size and the team will confirm your table.
Do you serve brunch in Metuchen?
Yes, every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Brunch favorites include Chilaquiles, Tres Leches French Toast, Steak & Eggs and the Breakfast Burrito, and the full Street Taco Collection is on the brunch menu too.
What should I order?
Our food is family style Mexican, made for sharing, with handmade tortillas. Guest favorites are the Truffle Street Corn (our best seller), Prime Ribeye Steakhouse Tacos, Pineapple Fire Shrimp Taco, Char-Grilled Prime Carne Asada and Churros & Dips. Is there a happy hour?
Yes. Happy hour runs Monday to Thursday, 4pm to 6pm, at the bar. Bar seats are walk in only, first come, first served, and happy hour does not apply to table reservations. On Tuesdays it runs alongside Taco Tuesday.
What is Meximodo's Guinness World Record?
Our Agave List is a hand curated collection of 1,033+ agave spirits, from tequila and mezcal to sotol and raicilla. In July 2024 it earned the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the world's largest agave spirits collection. Ask your bartender about tequila flights and guided tastings.
Where do I park?
The Pearl Street Parking Garage is right behind the restaurant at 1 Pearl Street, with 769 spaces over 6 levels. Parking is free for Meximodo guests: bring your ticket to the host stand to validate it.
Can I host a private event or a large group?
Yes. Groups of 14 or more are hosted as private events, each with a food and beverage package priced per person (12 guest minimum). In Metuchen you can choose the Rose Room mezzanine (seats up to 60), the main Dining Room (up to 110 seated) or the seasonal Patio (up to 40). Is there a dress code?
Smart casual. The vibe is vibrant and lively, especially at Friday and Saturday dinner.
Do you have options for kids, vegetarians and gluten free diets?
Yes. There is a kids menu, plenty of vegetarian dishes, and most vegetarian items can be made vegan. Most of the menu is or can be made gluten free, with corn tortillas in place of flour. Gluten free is not marked on the menu, so tell your server, and please flag any allergy with your server too.
Do you offer takeout or delivery?
Not right now. Meximodo Metuchen is dine in only.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on our outdoor patio when the weather allows.
